Do you have a grá for the Irish language and enjoy comhrá with other Gaeilgeoirí? Join us at Carrick Gate for a special weekend of Gaeilge, culture and craic in beautiful Southwest Donegal. Whatever your level of Irish, you'll have the opportunity to relax, explore and enjoy the company of fellow Gaeilgeoirí in an immersive but informal setting. With Irish-speaking hosts and Gaeilge woven throughout the weekend, it's a chance to chat and have the craic in Irish while enjoying one of Ireland's most spectacular coastal areas.
Your Weekend
Friday 27th November
- Arrival and check-in at Carrick Gate
- Settle in and make yourself at home for the weekend
- 8.30am - 10.30am - Breakfast at Carrick Gate
- 11.00am - 12.30pm - Ciorcal Comhrá
- 1.00pm - Trip to Glencolmcille Folk Village, with lunch and guided tour
- Afternoon - Scenic journey through the area
- 6.30pm - Dinner at The Rusty Mackerel
- 8.00pm - Ceol, craic & comhrá
- 8.30am - 10.30am - Breakfast
- 11.00am - Check-out
- 11.15am - River walk
- 12.30pm - Tea/coffee, scones and goodbyes at Carrick Gate
